Was lucky enough to get stack of well seasoned mixed logs from a local historic estate.
They have been in a barn for over 6 years apart from some cherry which is now settled into a new home drying nicely.
Its hard work cutting logs with just a hand saw, but I like trying different cuts especially in the Yew.

A nice bit of wood which you have turned to perfection  but that kit does nothing for me.

All our firewood came from logs my Dad sawed using on his own (he was an accountant with stamina) a two man saw for umteen years thousands apon thousands of cuts. an electric chain saw can be your friend. Yew is like fossicking for gems there are gems in every Yew log thanks for sharing.

Peter.
