Having swapped in the US with the main dealer for this product it seems to be going great guns. I would have thought with the maker being located in the UK it would be a doddle to have someone visit the guy and get the info from the horses mouth so to speak. Buy some it appears to use a triple EEE compound that breaks down in use. The name Yorkshire Grit gave me the clue it may be local to forum members.

I made this enquiry some time back I know Woody has used it or commented on the finish.

Peter.

The maker of Yorkshire grit is Glyn Seniour the Australian Agent is 1000 miles from me, the consensus is that this product is used most on larger items not so much pens. It is made in the UK look him up on facebook he is amenable and replies promptly.

There is a new product sold differently called Hampshire handled in the UK that has a gloss inclusion.

Both Yorkshire grit and Hampshire sheen are stocked by Dan @ Taylors Mirfield.
Glyn Senior makes Yorkshire grit, and Hampshire sheen is made by Martin Saban Smith.
They have licensed people in other countries to make said products under those names.

I haven't used either to be honest as they are wax finishes. Might try some on wall mounted stuff, or furniture, at a later date but not pens.

Hi Neil talking in depth with the agent in Aus the Yorkshire Grit is made in the UK and exported as is the Hampshire Green is marketed to dealers who make the product from the formula given in their own countries a method of selling I have never heard of before. What started my enquiry was watching the US agent mixing his own, then the explanation for dealers. Looked like a witches brew emulsifying the wax etc.

Apparently both products are what is being called very green in their own right being less involved in petroleum products. All I have gleaned recently.

Peter.
