I had some very nice thin left over Curly Maple and didn't want to throw it away. I laminated in a piece of Brazilian Cherry. My wife doesn't like this pen and I am on the fence. I have more blanks glued up. Do I go to the trouble of inserting veneer?

The skill in making the blank is just amazing, I wish I knew where to start in making them, so yes go for it but put it on a nice kit like Dan's Omega or any of the rollerball/fountain kits from Timberbits.

The kit is an ergonomic disaster. it is inept, lacks function, and allows no interpretation of form. Apart from that it's ok.

I think the blank is a little too busy with the conflict between the straight lines and the curves. Think the other blanks you do are really stylish, and being a minimalist think that there is frequently beauty in simplicity.
