I didn't even realise I had this wood in the shed. It turns nice and shines lovely

Another very nice pen I haven't turned Ziricote for ages but I have to agree with you it dose take a nice finish but it can be a bit bland dont you think

The blank looked lovely but I agree with you woody that the finished product for some reason does look more bland and I did expect more from it.

From what i can see of the blank it looks good Paul, i have never used this wood so i can't comment on how it finishes ... :thumbs:

Ziricote is one of those lovely woods you can mm to a shine before adding a finish which only makes it better.
Nice pen nicely finished, well done.
