Chestnut burr sanded to 400 grit and then coloured with red and yellow water based dyes and finished with Danish oil before giving it a buff. Measures 5 1/2" X 2 1/2"
A couple of bowls and a platter.
For the first time in over 10 years I had to buy blanks for the bowls!:rolling:
Ash natural edge 12" x 5"
Beech 11 3/4" x 4"
And finally a Silver Birch Platter 18" x 1 1/2"
The shine in the picture is how it looks in the hand and not a camera or lighting thing.
Silver Birch fruit bowl. This was a 15" blank but had so many shakes it ended up at 10 1/2" x 4"
I had an idea for a bit of decoration so went to the turning shed and selected the plainest Sycamore blank I could find.
A few cuts later and it didn't look so plain after all! 10 1/2" x 3 1/2"

As of yet this bowl has not got a name but I enjoyed every minute experimenting with the rim. I kept the main bowl and underside simple as I wanted the rim to speak for this one. Wood is unknown but I believe it is maple if you know different then please let me know(I don't get maple usually)...

7" high stick top. Horns are antler and wings rams horn.
the head is 6 1/2" wide. Base 5" square beech, overall H 6 1/2
