First time on the lathe for a couple of years. I found a piece of spalted beech and knocked this out. It took a couple of days as the arthritis is getting to me now but it was worth it I think.

Just made these an Empress dressed in Burr Elm and an over & under dressed in African Blackwood & Spalted beech

Had no orders to make up so time for a play and turned this Beech glass sealed with about 6 coats of spray lacquer

Hi all, Well pretty much as the title says, this is a spalted Beech fountain but cut diagonally from a plank I bought from Stiles and Bates.....

Made two Aston pen sets for a customer as wedding gifts to a Dutch couple also a fountain pen out of Spalted Beech that had been dyed red and stabilised very dusty to turn

The beech shows discolouring from the ebony moreso in the photograph than in the hand. Etesia pen kit from yer man Phil at Beaufort Ink.

This has to be my best pen to date. We see a lot where the comments are "The Photo does not do it justice" and I can safely say this is one of those moments :drool: I absolutely adore this pen even though the finish is only at 90% where it should be (in my opinion, although it may be at 100 %...
