Hi all, I have lurked on the forum for a long time but only just registered. Thought i better share some work! The most recent pen i have made. Oak burl hybrid with white and silver resin on a gunmetal omega body (loving this kit at the moment). CC welcome

A Burl blank,never seen the Burl Form before. The tree is indigenous to Australia,has a Gray stem with white bark that flakes away leaving conspicuous spots ,the reason it is commonly called Spotted Gum. This blank the only one I have seen came from the Southern Tablelands in Queensland. Peter.

Hi everyone, This is the result of my last efforts in the workshop. An aussie burl, not as nice and rare as the ones Penpal is showing these days, but a nice brown mallee nevertheless, that deserved to get rid of most metallic parts. Based on a Jr gent kit. C&c very welcome. Enjoy!

Classed as rare now,the grain in this is tortured and tight as. Peter.

Samsara Kit, Aspen Burl. I had a real hard time finding Aspen. Seems it's rare and expensive.
