    Modified Over & Under shotgun

Another commission. The customer didn't want a clip that looked kike a gun - I can't say I blame him - so some may remember I was asking around a while ago about bullet pens that the clip could be removed. Between us, the customer and I eventually plumped for an Over and Under (its a PSI kit...

    An unusual commission

A customer liked the style of the Dayacom Renaissance fountain pen but also liked the shape of the section on the TM Omega. Could I make a Renaissance with the Omega section. On the face of it the answer is no, the threads of the Omega are a finer pitch than the 8.5 x 1.0mm of the Renaissance...

    Replacement nib assembly for Omega's

Afternoon, I'm sitting on the horns of a dilemma. (ouch). I've a commission for a couple of blind end Omega fountain pens, and the customer has requested one to be a fine nib. Now I know Phil sells a Bock assembly that would suit very well, but even the least expensive option will add £12 to...

    I need a lock n load without a clip

Does anyone know of a lock n load bullet kit where the clip is not a fixture - in other words I want to be able to assemble the pen but omit the clip. (yes, I know - but the customer is always right). All the kits I know of have their clips moulded into the finial, so they are non starters.

    Skull Pen Commission

This wouldn't be my first choice of pen. It's very heavy and I'm not into skulls but it was commissioned and the customer is always right (especially when they're paying!)

Corkscrew from a "Lava Explosion" blank.

I had trouble finding a corkscrew kit that could be turned on a pen mandrel and had to go to PSI across the pond. Teamed it up with a "Lava Explosion" blank, on its way to a customer in France.

    At the barbershop today...

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, “This is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch while I prove it to you.” The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and three quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks, “Which do you want, son?” The boy takes...

    Matt Mistrals

I did these for a customer as a special request - she wanted a matching rollerball and pencil with a matt black finish as an anniversary present for her husband. Phil at Beaufort Ink came to my rescue, offering me a sample pencil kit as he was still waiting for the production ones to arrive. I...

    Spalted Cherry on Omega

Well patience ran out and I had to try one of the blanks I made a few days ago. Helped by the fact I cut some of the cherry logs I have and they are just as good so plenty to go at. Finished in wax to show a customer who has ordered a pair of Mistrals in the same wood and finish. Not the best...
