Yep, every year on the first Friday in November, it’s International Fountain Pen Day, and has been since it was introduced in 2012. This year, the first Friday in November is the 5th, which happens to be today.

Yes, I know. If you've just fallen over with the shock, I quite understand why. Back in the day I was making perhaps 7 or 8 pens a day, but I haven't had time to do one for over two years.

As most of you will be aware I took part in a one full day wood turning training course on Wednesday 7th July and I will try and express my views on it in this thread.

Besides the two bowls in the bowl section of the forum, I have managed to cut up some burrs ready for turning a little smaller than the others I have done hope they turn out as well as those. Also managed a little work on a VE Day vase (I know a little late) and also managed to return the wire...

Well the garden is still being done. Over the last couple of weeks I have been to Woodfest got the benches finished new washing line put up and removed old one one of the beds dug and weeded and an old cherry tree removed (that was today's job) Oh yes found time to turn the little box the other...
It is 4.30 AM on Friday the 6th. this day I celebrate 85 yrs born in South Australia in 1934.
The last quite a while has been full of repeat dramas but the days are getting longer and from minus or low 2,s etc to twenty C Spring is in the air.
