Finished up a few for Beaufort Headwind twist ballpoint.
These a all finished a ready to install the fittings and have
a great tactile feel in the writers hand.

Finished the one and only pen I will make with this stuff. It just doesn't work.. Quite like this one though.

Almost finished relocation only need to hook up the dust extraction now in the next few days and back into it. I bought the bare lathe and fitted the variable speed control myself. The belt drive through the headstock to keep under the bench free. Mongrel job to instal because I used an existing...
So some of you may recall have seen that I was looking for a tube for a PSI pen 12.5mm...there's a previous thread!
Well Garno was right with The Pessoa tube that worked, and thanks to everyone else who commented, so here is the finished pen...

Earlier this year I came across this under one of my benches.
I started to make this one on my first lathe, I am guessing in the early 2000s
I gave it to a mate, who is very partial of a beer, who would probably put Andy Capp to shame.
Mahogany is one of the woods I hate turning but I purchased a mate’s entire stock and there was a few bits in among it I finished it with several coats of sanding sealer and 10 coats of spray lacquer the finished bowl is 9” x 3”
into the reams of off centre turning...quite pleased with it TBH
it did come off the lathe once and cracked, but it was never intended as a finished piece so no biggie..
it think its sapele, could be wrong though
Had a bit of time today so I went to dad's and turned and finished a pen, whilst he watched, I then set one up for him and left it to him and went home. He cme over a couple hours later with his finished pen, he's 82 and it's only his second pen ever
I thought it was about time I turned something so dug this wood out from the pile a little disappointed as it took me two hours to turn need to turn more.
Finished with sander sealer and woodwax22 size is 6" X 1 3/4".
