    Hi all I am Barry new to pens but not to turning . Going to give it a good go I know There is a lot to learn . Finishing will my biggest challenge I think . All have good day keep the bevel rubbing.

    Burr finishing

    Morning all, How do you finish the outside of a burr? I have a nice knobbly bit of oak burr, and was thinking of using finishing oil on the inside and top, but I am not sure what to put on the knobbly outside, and on the natural edge bit of the bowl.     Melted Brass Revisit!

    Well I am nearly ready to give up on this Bugger! decided to try another bit of brass for the overturned one the other week but it ended up crap finishing with some marks.. :vangry: Not really, I don't give up that easy, Mk 3 should be ok honest! :funny: :rolling:

    TM Alpha in Buckeye Burl

    This is my first ever stabilised blank, so I went for a Buckeye. It turned a treat, and I filled the gaps with medium CA and sawdust before finishing with a friction polish. I'm chuffed with this pen!
