These 3 pieces form one finished piece and are placed as they will be connected as per the commission. I sort of like the idea, even though the brief was to provide what I would consider sub standard work!
Any guesses to what this is?
I've turned two of these Classic Elite Fountain pens and on both of them the thread inside the "centre band" has either come out completely or stripped the thread.
Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Or is it likely to be the quality of the kit?

I am going to cast my own blanks but know nothing about vacuum pumps and chambers.
I have seen a 2L chamber which is the size I think I would like but what pump would suit this size, Iabsolutely have no idea.
If anyone has any advice on makes, models etc, I would be grateful...
