What happens if you don't use the middle ring of a pen kit and just turn the centre position using calipers to ensure both parts are the same.. I get the feeling that might give me more shape options but I am thinking what am I missing on that idea?

I have a lot of bamboo canes that comes from my garden, i had to cut them down over two years and they are super dry now.
Usualy we use them as supports for plants but today I had the idea to dress 2 pens with it.
What do you all think about it ?

I know it is not a finished project but thought I would post an update at how far I have got with the half track. The first two are of the back resting on the chassis with most of the pieces fitted except some of the external bits which are quite delicate.

I have a plastic bag with a dozen brass pen tubes. These tubes are 50mm long x 7.85mm o/d and 7.34mm bore. Has anyone any idea why I bought these :thinks: :rolling:

Morning folks,
anyone on here able and willing to engrave some top barrels for me, they will be from hybrid blanks, idea is to get them sanded to near a finish, get them engraved then finish and assemble.

I just received some blanks this morning...and it may just be the cold weather...but they feel slightly damp. I won't know for sure until Ive measured them with a moisture meter...which Im just about to go and buy.
However, it got me thinking...is there a way to dry blanks if they are too wet...
I have a portable hard drive that I have been going through Saving what I want and deleting the rest.
I have cleared out what I want, there is a lot of stuff on it that I don't have any Idea of what it is and where it came from.
