Just using up some of my acrylic blanks before I contemplate the self casting option. I really adore the hybrids, so might give it ago! In the meantime, here is an Omega RB dressed in a Bengal Tiger!

Afternoon all,
Thought I's share a few more pens with you.
The Phoenix is a new design that a customer asked me to turn - the acrylic is 'Modern Times'. The wood is Oak and Rippled Massaranduba.
The Zen pens are Pink Ivory and Tamboti - which has a very sweet aroma. I left the wood bare to...
A Segmented Chrome plated Omega Fountain pen,
Made using Tambotie, Pink Ivory, pau Amarello with a Dymondwood sandwich down the middle , highlighted by Styrene inserts.
Hi chaps
Not been around much recently - real life getting in the way of internet time.
Anyhow here's an early Christmas cracker joke for you.
Someone threw a bottle of Omega 3 tablets at me the other day.........luckily, my injuries were Super Fish Oil :goesred:
A gun metal Omega rollerball in a Lava Explosion blank from "The Turners Workshop", always good service from Vince.
Finished with MM pads and buffed with last 2 steps of "The Polishing Shops" buffing system.
TM Omega dressed in an unknown blank (it was heavy and hard, also sharp as the edge cut my finger)
Finished with 2 coats sealer 2 coats friction polish and a couple of wax.
As per normal the photography is well bellow par.

This was my first time turning this very dense wood, and wow, I just love how it dresses a chrome Omega FP.
I think I will be doing a few more of these.

A friend wanted a nice fountain pen for work, but doesn't want to take out his MBs. So Here is an Omega in Walnut that he wanted. Polished only, no CA, as he likes the wood, and as an ex squaddie, is used to polishing his kit himself LOL
Here are the remainder of what was turned this weekend.
Fist another Omega, in False Acacia:
And then a Euro style ball point in Oak.
And another Omega in Yew:
The rest of the weekend was spent drilling blanks and painting tubes for some acrylic work in the future..
