A pair of Tempests, 1 Gun Metal and 1 Upgrade Gold, both in "Lava Explosion" blanks from Vince at the Turners Workshop. I really like these kits, it appears friends and family do too.

Another pair of Omega's, this time in cross cut Sweet Chestnut, a few issues with wee knots, CA and sawdust to the rescue. Same finish again, sanding sealer and then 3 coats melamine.

Now I'm squaring off my blanks properly, turning these has become much easier. I did the slighter fatter one to see how 'meaty' I could make it and still have it useable. I think I prefer the slimmer one, but I'm not sure.. :thinks: Adie
