Hi everyone
I have a bench mounted drill press which I use a lot. It's the type that has a post without
the 'teeth' on it , therefore adjustment has to be made via the clamp. I've always found this
quite difficult but having had a recent accident with my right hand, it's become more of a...
I know colouring wood, especially figured wood, can be a divisive topic but I’ve been experimenting with colour and here are two examples. Both are made from elm burr.
I started making pens out of curiosity rather than to sell them but both of these were very popular and I’ve been asked to...
Going to make my own pen vice tomorrow.
Have purchase a canter lever and collected from around the workshop all the other bits I need.

May have a job where I would like to inset a brass square (100mm) into the top of a post, I can pocket the top of the post out easy enough so the brass plate sits...

Congratulations to Brad (Bammer) on winning this week's POTW
We have a dead heat for first place but fortunately both of them are Brad's pens so we won't have to arrange an arm wrestling competition to decide the winner.
Two beautifully cast, turned and finished pieces, no surprise they shared...
Big improvement with the knee replacement still a bit painful and clicks a bit but it's getting there. Me and our Aud have been working on renovating an old Atlas metal lathe over the past couple of weeks just a bit of electrical work and we're done. I will post a few pics of it when it's...

Hi all
This is my first post but have been making pens for some time, for this pen I made my own blank from pencils and epoxy resin. No doubt if you have tried making pens with a pencil type blank you will know they are a challenge to turn in the lathe.
