I bought a number of small burl Oak off cuts from Ebay. A piece is shown in the picture.
Managed to make a slim line pen out of them. This pen did fight me all of the way though
which, of course, some do. The cracks were the main problem and needed constant filling.

Hi all, well it's nice in here.....I don't do wood often, but must try more.....
So here we have a GM Omega with a Cocobolo jacket.....the finish is something I am trying out....it's a wood workers oil, it's from a hand tool manufacturers, apparently you dip it....let it soak a bit then drip dry...
I doubt it's to everyone's taste but here's a Pazzaz in Bocote and a Vertex in Black Locust..
Obviously the pens are magnetic and stick to the wall. :funny: The picture was orientated correctly when posted.
Finished 6 of these to go with the Sirocco's I did last week. Gold slimlines dressed in Bethlehem Olive and a cross clip. Finished using Phil's melamine method.

Being as the weather is none too good and rather than sit around, I set myself a challenge. I was to put my hand into my well stocked discarded pen plank box, extract three pieces and make a slimline pen. All three pieces had to be used. :thinks:
