These kits are hard to find wood that matches. I think the solid resin is better.

I have had some of the lugs break on of my new moulds and was ready to bin them and make some out of silicone but hit on this idea with the nozzles they are a push fit so that when the resin is set they can be pulled out they may need some vaseline on them to stop the resin sticking to them just...

Get rid of that frustration and bash up all those off cuts and cast in clear resin

Had a go at moulding this afternoon two tubes with D day stamp on them with some advice from our paul M and one plastic swarf there were a few bubbles in the resin so I stood them on me fretsaw run it for a while and they all come to the top well pleased so far tomorrow will tell steam punk tomorrow

This is a Chrome Sedona Rollerball with home grown resin, but it is not my home grown resin, but one of Derek's/Dalboy. I back painted the blank with blue spray paint and it has had a dramatic effect compared to the offcuts which I left without back painting. Peter

I still need to tidy up the edges a bit but have to wait a week or so for the resin to fully cure sorry again for the picture quality my Camera is broke so have to use my phone.

Can I use Tupperwear type boxes to cast PE resin ?
