Ok pulled the bandsaw apart, cleaned and oiled everything, then rebuilt it with all the guides etc in the proper places
Then cut some teak blanks, i wetted 3 of them down to try to show the grain, all I need to do now is go pick up my lathe

Harry Potter Zeta Pens, sorry I cannot get the grain showing but the oak wood is very light. If anyone can help with this problem let me know, tried everything I know without improvement, willing to learn.
