Beech wood with Melamine Lacquer finish.
Propelling pencil and pen set, not in one of my "home made" boxes either. But in a presentation box all the same. I do realise there is a place for my boxes and slimline ones aren't one of them
Just won my second bid of the day on Ebay and now have enough slimline pen kits to last a while
I got 15 kits with jewelled tops on the first one and 25 kits with stylus tops for the second pack.
On the 40 kits I have paid an average cost of £1.37 per kit :whistling::whistling::whistling...
If you make a slimline pen (for example) and put it up for sale on a website do you have to call it a "Slimline"? or can you call it anything you want?
I recently thought I would invest in a bit of new "technology" to help me make blanks with inclusions, particularly watch parts pens. I'm referring to UV cured resin, which seemed ideal for fixing the parts to the tube. All went well placing the parts, but after casting, the outline of the resin...
Hi pen people.
A bit of a one-off this, and I’ll keep this pen. As I continue working on a design to make the most of the thin vintage cellulose I have, I decided to make a pen with a sleeved wooden section. In other words the internals of the section are ebonite (in this case) and the outside...
Hi pen people
I posted a similar pen to this in purple a little while back. This is the green version which, instead of acrylic, has ebonite threads and section. It also has an ebonite finial on the barrel. This allows me to make a compete pen from a single wooden blank (they are quite pricey)...
I'm relatively new to casting and now want to cast some stamps or labels on the tube. Can anyone help me with the best way to stick the stamps to the tube without getting glue on the face of the stamps or labels. My first attempts have been spoiled because of this. I've been using diluted Mod Podge.
Hi everyone.
Only 15 days to go before I traipse off to do a woodturning course with Neil Lawton and 16 days to go before I post photos of my very first attempts at woodturning.
Anyway that is not the reason for this post.
I have been following with interest the post by DJB Penmaker and his...
So this is my first attempt at casting my own blank. Alan Morrison kindly sent me a casting mould he hadn't used for free which spurred me on to give it a go. Unhappy with bought glitter blanks, I made my own and I'm very very pleased with the result.
Hi pen turners
I've been asked to make a slimline fancy click pen... Which is fine... But it has to have a blue refill.
I've visited all my usual sources online, but can't find anywhere that has blue refills.
They're the short cross style but with a long plastic part at the top.
Can anyone...
I'm looking at making a pen with ebonite but I have no idea on the finish prosses also what finish should I use.
there are three finishes I'm looking at.
CA glue
Melamine
just sand with micromesh and buff with my normal buffing wheels
I'm open to any suggestions I'm just researching at the...
Hello
I'm looking for slimline pen clips that show over & under or side by side shotguns not rifles. I know there are kits with shotguns, I have used them but I want clips for 7 mm kits, any help? Bill
I’ve been asked if I can make some pens with a logo in them ( no copy right problems)
I don’t do casting so am looking for someone to do the casting for me.
