    DiamondCast Tempest

Gun metal Tempest in Black Wattle

Managed to get this done today, was going to do more hexagonal but decided to build a new jig in between doing this pen. Hopefully more of the outcomes of that another day. This is the first Tempest I have done, very impressed with the fittings and feel of the finish of the parts.. Click feels...

    First Tempest

I had been purchasing pieces and parts from Beaufort Ink in the pursuit of moving away from kits for a while. I still love kit pens - though I am selective about the ones I like to make - but the challenge of cutting some threads and doing a little extra math has been good for me. (I haven't...

    A Tempest with a pearl/opal blank

A few weeks ago I made a gold Epsilon in a pearl/opal poly resin which turned out quite well so I though I'd try the same blank on a gold Tempest to see how that pen looked.

    Tempest in stabilised Poplar Burl

Well after all the bad news that I woke up too today, I decided to get away from it all, and locked myself in the mancave. First I set up my new table saw. Next I made a HDPE 2 blank mould ready for some casting. Next I turned a Tempest using some of Dario's poplar Burl that I had previously...
  13. Terry

    Another Tempest.

I've also turned this Tempest but this time in a classic green acrylic.

A Tempest in an Azure acrylic

This is the first time I have turned a click pen because of all the bad press given to click pens in the past. The Tempest I find is a superb pen and I have finished it off in an Azure acrylic and polished with Farecla profile 300 and 500.

    Chrome Tempest with Mallee Burr

This is a Chrome Tempest with Mallee Burr. Peter
  16. Buckeye

    Tempest with Aussie Burr

This is a Gunmetal Tempest with some kind of Aussie Burr, to me it is reminiscent of Oak. The top barrel has great figuring and the figuring in the bottom barrel was turned away, unfortunately. Peter

Firstly apols for including a pic of an acrylic pen in this sub forum!!! They come as a pair lol. A stablised coloured sycamore Tempest from Scott Walkers stable of blanks along with it's pal wearing an acrylic coat. Really like the way these stabilised blanks come out, first time I've turned...
