What are bowls made from? I thought they were made from wood but this one looks like it some sort of plastic.

Was given a couple of bits of Corian so thought I'd have a go .

One of the first color combinations I came up with was a blue/green/white mix that my wife dubbed "Satellite" because she thought it kind of looks like the colors you'd see from space. Since then I've expanded my available pigments and thought I'd breath a little more life into the color combo...

I have never made one of these in all the time that I have been turning pens and as I have two of them which were given to me by two members on here I thought it was about time I made one of them. As many have done before me it is on a white blank which I cast myself.

Just thought I would share this with you. My home made pen press.

Not posted for a while so I thought I would throw one in. Got to say I love the spalting in this Cherry, finished in Melamine lacquer.

Thought I would share with you all my first attempts with the Sirocco kit. The first is dressed in pink ivory and finished using Phil's melamine lacquer technique. The second is dressed in laburnum and again finished with melamine lacquer.
