Today has felt really great have managed to spend an hour in the shed some of which I had to sit. Things certainly improving and I can't wait to spend more time out there
Didn't want to hijack Coll's post so started a new one. These blanks have been made for a couple months but didn't turn them until today. I have another dozen to finish. One is Hickory and the other Maple. Both with blue dyed poplar veneer.
Bought a few of these click pens from Rizheng a few years ago.
The click mechanism is a real POS. They look nice, but I would'nt even
think of selling one and have doubts about giving one away.

Had a fair bit of snow during the night. I was desperate to get in the shed today but despite all the shovelling and hard work involved and after 25 m our Aud was too knackered to go the last 5 m. I was really dissapointed but after she made me a cuppa I calmed down and watched a film on TV. :wink:

No time for turnings today ! First of all we need to go to the clinic, my wife has an appointment with the surger...
After that i've to prepare all my stuff and build up my booth for a craft show this weekend.
It's a very busy end of week.

As some of you know I am off to Llandudno tomorrow for a few days so today I am taking my lovely Violet out and treating her then of to the pub for lunch I have two bags packed with goodies that we have made to take with me for them and am looking forward to spending a few days with these lovely...

Just a quick question regarding amalgam. Is this more akin to polyurethane or polyester resin? I got an amalgam blank from Vince at Turners Workshop and when I was drilling it today, the swarf seemed more like polyester to me. My concerns are really about how brittle amalgam is. :thinks:
Following the making fitting of the dust collector on the Tool Rest of the Vicmarc VL100 yesterday after the Melboune Cup David from Timberbits rang me and sent my new chuck engineered with my lathe spindle size integral and an adapter for another chuck. They arrived 9 am today.
