Browsing through some of last years Canada photos and this one reminded me just how desperately I wanted this big bad boy. Was a good 3 ft across on what I think was a maple.
Just finished these up today as a friend who wanted them had moved away but is up in the area tomorrow so can take delivery. He wanted a triplet of FP, RB and BP, specifically in gunmetal trim with green/purple colours as close to the Joker from Batman as possible, he's big into comics. Ended up...

I hadn't played with Sierra kits. (Solution? I ordered sixteen of them in a variety of finishes. Hindsight teaches me that three would have told me what I wanted to know, but I have enjoyed them.) I wanted to play with the Elegant Sierra model - these are Copper hardware with Redwood burl...

I used a 12mm x 10' cheap vinyl tube bought on ebay.
After fitting it to the prepared tube, holding it taught, I soaked it in CA,
wiped it down with plastic bag, and lightly sprayed accelerator.
I did this about 4 times.
I wanted to see if the vinyl would have...
My brother-in-law is a minister, and he'll be leaving his church of 15 years next month. He invited me to the going away party at the church, so I wanted to make something special for him and his wife. I decided to try these blanks from PSI that have embedded crosses. I chose Vertex Click pens...
Two Gent kits that my grandson made, the blanks are ones I had of e-bay for him as he wanted to try them out.
Came out OK (Ish)
Kit -Chrome plated Gent RB and FP
Jacket - Segmented hardwoods
Finish - sanded and polished with shithot (he wanted to try it not me) wax stick and final polish.
As title this is for the club competition not sure now that is complete that I like it but the wife does and I am not arguing.
Made from Sapele and tulip wood the coloured bit was a failed pot that I had shaped but it was too shallow to show what I wanted so it became the decorated piece on...
A friend wanted a nice fountain pen for work, but doesn't want to take out his MBs. So Here is an Omega in Walnut that he wanted. Polished only, no CA, as he likes the wood, and as an ex squaddie, is used to polishing his kit himself LOL
So me and the wife went down town to buy a few things. I asked if we could go into a few shops we don't normally go in. She seemed surprised, since I hate shopping, but agreed. I couldn't fid what I was looking for so I eventually came clean and told her I wanted a pasta machine. She got quite...
I had a call from Dave AKA Daveygee earlier in the week. Would I like to pop over for a couple of bits of wood, well I also wanted some pen kits so went over this afternoon. What should have taken 1/2hour tops ended up as three hours not including any travel time.
So ended up with a couple of...
