I can say with absolute certainty that your chances of finding one of those from a UK supplier are approximately the same as my chances of becoming Archbishop of Canterbury. (I am an atheist).

As you will inevitably have to import from the USA I suggest you buy from one of PSI's suppliers rather than direct from PSI. Their customer service is non-existent and their carriage charges ludicrous.

Try here: Universal Mandrel for Shopsmith: 5/8" unthreaded - WoodTurningz or here: Pen Mandrel for Shopsmith: Arizona Silhouette

Andy I dont doubt your enthusiasm using a Shopsmith but do not be surprised having to shop for extras where they are from. IMHO cheap as in relation to the pound value at this time. Have success mate worth the effort.

Dear The honourable, Very Reverend Walter,

May you wash your mouth with holly water, give it a few hail Marys, (Bloody Marys will do) and repent, for it hath been anounced that:

LATEST NEWS

I have now been appointed as the Shopsmith Sales and Service centre for the UK

To facilitate this I have opened a new company Martins Supplies Ltd

I have started a new website for this business at Martins-supplies - Martins Supplies UK Store

VISIT this site for all your spares, new parts, upgrades and consumables

Note the CART has been disabled for items in the Shopsmith section. Please visit the new website to purchase your choices.

Not me, I hasten to add, but there is a Shopsmith dealer in the UK.

Cant really see that his business is a vehicle to a life of plenty and financial freedom.

I thought Shopsmith had gone the way of electric drill powered circular saws and flock wallpaper.

Walter you need one of them funny hats like the pope wears.:thinks::funny::funny:

I think I can "cope" without one. The only mitres I need are made of wood. :funny:
