Good morning all,
My son (5) is mad for Lego, and since my pen turning hobby began, he's been fascinated and asked me to make him one, so I had a go at incorporating Lego into a pen, with the following result.....
The Lego blocks are CA glued together and sanded to remove the sharp corners (those of you who have every stepped on a piece barefoot will know how sharp they are) and then drilled at 7mm to accept a brass tube to fit over the bottom half of a slimline twist kit.
I didn't drill all the way through (obviously) as I added a Lego 'clip' CA glued at the top.
The bottom half is a piece of holly I had lying around.
Although this was a bit of fun, and my son did like it (although I do have to 'replace' the Lego I pinched to make the pen) but I'm not overly thrilled at the 'look' of the pen, and I'd love to get some input/ideas as to how it could be improved or how I could incorporate Lego into a pen again?
Thoughts/ideas/criticisms/pi$$ taking welcomed!
