I once payed $30 for a custom cast acrylic blank. I drilled it and started turning it. All was going great until suddenly the whole blank suddenly exploded off the lathe. I couldn't figure out what had happened until I started looking at the pieces. I hadn't glued a tube in the blank :nooidea:
