I have decided its time to learn how to fit clips to my kitless pens.
These are some I have prepared ready to be installed. The coloured resins are added by my very talented Daughter in Law.
The clips will be seated in a milled recess with a cut out so the clip ring is invisible once the pen is assembled. I have done a few but they are experimental and not finnished. Once I have polished one up I will post a piccy.

I have refined the process I am lucky in that I have a very well equiped workshop I have got it down to three steps once I have turned the blank to round using a metal lathe and a milling machine.

Tools help. But inspiration and skill probably play a role as well. Looks like you have both!
Thank you.
I am relativelly new to Kitless pens but I like a challenge. I have made a few but this will be a first with a Clip. I think I have it sussed but we will see how it turns out. My only problem is selling the finished pens up to now I have not had a lot of luck.
I have been asked to make a left handed fountain pen I have priced up to make the pen but I know for a fact the Guy will not want to pay what I should be charging to make it worth while. I will be emailing him with a quote but I will be surprised if he is willing to pay what I am asking.
Most of the Kitless fountain pens I make end up on my Desk at work.

Hi Dave,

they look great, and to be able to say you made the clips as well just proves how unique your pens are.
I do know that i would gladly buy your pen clips, they are awesome matey, i have a small metals lathe too that i love to use and make bushings and mandrels ect. to be able to use a milling machine when you want is a big bonus.

all the best Dave
