I found the bench on the internet
It is easy to make and to your own size requirements
I used the cheap timber used for fixing plasterboard to
It took about 2 hours

Hi all
My name is Nigel Cannard just joined the site recommended to me.
I'm a retired carpenter and joiner.
My interest has taken me in this direction .
I have little space but would love to start making pens .
But with all the lathes out there and tool's to start, getting a little confused.
So any advice on what might be my first lathe and what I would need to start This remarkable hobby.

Is their a Men's shed anywhere near you as they might have lathes and tutors to guide you through the process and when the time comes, maybe to buy a second hand lathe, they would be willing to steer you in the right direction..
