This one is gun metal with chrome accents. The blank is a Lava Lamp called Blue Brava from Exotic Blanks. I really like this one.

Jim lots of info re the Kojent kit the blank is beaut a bit thin at the cap end on the lower part you tend to undercut as you turn. A lucky save I tend to size the blank close to as possible before turning, it came out OK. Thanks for the three views they enable blank detail. Nice pen.

Hey Peter, I'm afraid I don't follow you about the undercutting. I turned both bodies to the diameter of the fittings. The lower body fits inside the center band.

Hi Jim I was going by the last picture when I expect you had sanding to go unless you use lots of CA for a finish. Mind you pic angles can be confusing when you had the blank in hand you would be the judge if you say it was flush after sanding then thats how it is. Love the pen and kit. I presumed you trimmed the blank on the lathe for length by the piece that shows.

Actually, I use a barrel trimmer. Which in this case is a piloted end mill with a letter D drill blank and the adapter sleeves. And no CA finish, just wet sanding, wet Micromesh, and Meguiar's PlastX polish.

Peter.

Here it is after wet sanding with 320 and 400 grits.
