Picked up a bit of Aussie burr at John Davis on Saturday - it was in the bargain bin at £4. Got eight full-size pen blanks and three Sierra-sized blanks out of it. Less than 50p a blank! :pounds: Nowt wrong with that ...

Take a guess
That`s atrocious David, you can get a V shaped wire brush that will fetch all that moss out of your block paving, no excuse. :funny::funny:

Bargain on the Burr, well done.

To my shame I actually gave your offer a thought, Ed! Turned up a couple of purse pens for my old folks tonight and it looks cracking! It didn't say what burr it was, so I'll invite guesses once I post up the finished pens.

Myself and Frankie got a few bargins - I got pieces of Aussie Bur ?, Yew, Blackwood, Spalted Beech, Ebony, Red Malle and a 10 Pack of Exotic Blanks (Blackwood, Cocobolo, Indian Rosewood,Olive and Bocotie x2) It was getting addictive, having never seen so many woods in one place. I will be revisiting again thats for sure...:banana::banana:

It looks like collecting as many different types of blanks as possible is catching. I've certainly joined the craze
