I can see where Neil is coming from with regards to the strenght of the boxes. As he rightfully said they won't take that much of a hammering! But concidering that Neil managed to get 18 months out of them doing the amount of fairs etc that he does I think mine should be good for at least the next 10 years or so !

:thinks::thinks::thinks:

Thats why I use the leather cases I have two types some hold 96 pens and the others 48 pens including the click sierra

I have got magnifying glasses and 50 cal in one of the leather cases and doesn't care about lengths or widths (within reason) which makes it my case of choice.

Thanks Paul
The first case I bought was a 12 pen exactly like that from him but I wasn't all that impressed tbh as the elastic stretched very quickly. Still using it to store pens though.

I've just remembered that Vince keeps some of his pens in leather cases with an inner leaf/page so will ask him when I next call in.

Must get off the laptop and back to work - the forum has affected my production output - time to retire!!!:rolling:

That one also has a leaf that flaps over Bob, you can see it on the right hand side.

I did look for a post, honest, but didn't find one. Did you get your 96 pen case from the UK guy as well?

No mate they were from America many years ago before there post went through the roof I think they cost about £50- £60 all in they open out up to 4ft long

I bought two of these last time dad put a link on.
Never had any issues with them, they are still good as new and overfilled with all sorts of pens, knives and magnifiers.
I would deffo buy them again if I needed more storage init?

i prefer the wood Display Case as befits a quality turned pen (or at least my ok'ish pens when i remove my glasses). Did see this on you tube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAZttSKQzUc

Dema @ Dimkas WoodWorx pen display cabinet very nice indeed and the option to remove and use for display a good idea
would like to make one myself, but don't have a router for the the curves for the pens. might be a reason to treat myself.

I got 4 of these a couple of years ago Vic, Axminster had them on sale at £10 .. Like Niel says, the elastic does stretch and two of the four inners came out .. If i was to buy now it would be the cases that Woody linked to .. I can also say that the cases haven't had much hammer also .. But not a bad case over all .. :thumbs:

Would rather have the case that Steve just posted up thou .. :ciggrin:
