First day in me workshop for a week as I have had a lot of pain from old injuries and me ticker was complaining so it was time to stop and wait till every thing got better.
I am enjoying myself as I have wanted to make this bowl for quite a while now and today is the day no pens for a while as I have a few ideas I want to make.
The bowl is 14" x 6" x 3" piece of Beech that was given me as an offcut from a furniture company there is one photo of a bit of damaged edge but that is OK as I am going to make the edge wavy and do some piercing on each corner but that will have to wait till tomorrow well tomorrow has happened so here is the finished bowl

Nicely done but not very practical. I can't help thinking it would have been better to put the wings near the bottom of the bowl then it could have rested on them. Just a thought.

I have made loads like that I just wanted to do something different the practical use is as an ornament or a life bowl but thanks for your comment

To make every time a special change in a Winged Bowl must have been a challenge Woody. The way you did this is signed off on many adaptions with skill.

The result is awesome.

Peter.

Love it Vic, great bit of piercing, not tried winged things but you are flying with that one. Like you I have had to stop turning my breathing is awful. Shame I love making things. You take it steady now! Like that finish, very posh.
