If you are expecting Mont Blanc quality then you will have to pay Mont Blanc prices.

You are absolutely right, and I agree. (???$300 for the ''Name'' of a plastic pen???)
But, we can buy crappy mechanisms for $0.72 apiece.
Why not offer a better one for, say $1.50 or $2.00?
I would think some of us would buy them.

Yes, I agree, but the trouble is the majority will buy the cheapest they can get so no-one bothers to make anything better. :nooidea:

Regardless of price they should be fit for the purpose for which they are sold if they are not I always complain to the supplier and get replacements if we all done that then maybe things would change maybe

It all depends what the drawing spec says if it give a tolerance of .20 mm than you are going to have problems but to get them all the same it needs to be about .02 mm which is very hard to hold it long run production

The main problem that i have had with mechs is that they become loose, if there are better ones out there at a reasonable cost i would invest in them for sure ..

I had mentioned earlier that I was able to use 4 out of ten machanisms
in a pack of ten.
I bought these from an AU supplier and were shipped from China or Japan
I don't remember.
4 like this and 2 with very shallow threads.
