Ok so Neil you can get decent threaded jr G's.

Can I get them from the same place or do I have to buy bulk?

Cheers

PS Thanks for all the other contributions I didn't mean to start what our ops director calls a "shitogram" :funny:

I have been very pleased with the Jr Gents, Dans selling the gun metal ones that I use, they really enhance the colour of the wood. I'll try and post some pics later tonight when I get back from Slimmers World at Nandos which is near Hobbycraft as I need to get some clay base!

I don't disagree with any of that Neil and the two kits you mention are indeed a waste of space. I also agree with Brian that paying a high price doesn't necessarily get you top quality goods, there is always someone who is happy to charge top dollar for rubbish.

Nonetheless, my point is that some retail suppliers pay more attention to quality control than others and if you buy cheap kits from suppliers who are more concerned with price than quality then there is a greater risk that what you get will be rubbish.

Buy £2 slimlines from eBay and you might be lucky, they might have come from the factory that was producing round components that fit in the tubes that week or you might be less lucky and get the components that result in a cock-eyed pen or need gluing into the tube.

Its all a bit of a lottery, but sticking with suppliers you trust is less likely to result in disappointment. If you know that the JG's from a particular supplier are crap then stop buying them and if they are happy to sell you crap JG's then why would you trust anything else they sell. It's not rocket science.

Couldnt agree more more Walter..[emoji3]

Here was the last email i received from them Peter ..

Hi James,

Thank you for your reply. Our factory tell us that the problem you say has been improved now. We will make up 5 gun metal center band for you . We apologise that we have to send them with your next order, as the shipping cost is high. China post which takes 30days to your door still charge $20. The shipping by DHL is $25. We just make a little money from your order, if still need to pay the cost, we will just lose money. Hope you can understand our situation. We will pay more attention in the future.

Please let us know if there is any question.

Kind regards

Jack&Jenny

They are a piece of work. The next time I order will be my last, so that I can get the stuff I paid for but didn't receive and I will insist they send at their cost if there are any problems with my last order to them. I believe they get a much bigger discount from DHL and keep the discount as extra profit rather than pass it on to the customer, I believe this practice is widespread in the US. Plus their basket is shi*e and ir keeps disappearing after a few days so I have to start again having forgotten what I had already put in there.
