The 8 mm threaded tubes lend themselves to go straight in the cases, a bit of medium CA holds them sufficiently and you don't need a metal lathe for them.
I enjoyed my little experiment and good to get the little lathe back in use.
Getting short of the threaded kits now, might have a go with a 7mm standard and see if I can devise a way of doing them better than previous attempts.
