Gorgeous wood Woody but I'm with Brian I'm afraid, the finial is too big for my liking

Twice in one morning it is 10am here I have been uplifted with beautiful work mostly unique and I like the restrained use of the lid adornment nothing so hopeless as the stubby button to lift a top off the wonder at the inside workmanship I witnessed at our last Club annual exhibition the awful fate that awaits tight tops and insufficient grips to lids
Woody I am aware of the everpresent possibility growing up as I have in the thirties fourties when receipts and papers were stacked on a spike for convenience witnessing countless injuries sustained either in anger or carelessness by users in some instances caused by spikes mounted on a base. Thank you for continually surprising me with the depth of your abilities.

Kind regards Peter.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I cannot imagine this beautiful turning from a deprecated wormy under the bench piece of wood ressurrected to these heights with anything less than this design and commend it as an exception indeed
