Having made special bushes etc ,tried most things,i do prefer stainless bushes shaved back from the blank for holding and turning. The thought of interupting, changing etc during the making of a pen I keep to a minimum. Love the dedicated pen lathe and associated machines, makes it smooth sailing for me.

Here is a photo of one of my bush collections, I like like these boxes, because if some clumsy sod knocks it off the bench I dont have bushes from here to breakfast time.

The wife buys a soft cheese that comes in small round plastic containers. They are perfect for the bushings.

I keep my bushings in a zip bag with the pen instructions.
