Microcrystalline Wax is great stuff for stopping things sticking and can be used on much of your tooling to prevent rust as well. I’ve even given my Lathe a quick coat of wax to keep unwanted finishes etc sticking to the paintwork.
Les used his own method. Called the “dipping” method.
I thought there was a link on here at one time but can’t find it.
It is still in the tutorials.

If you're struggling top get out a glued in bush, find something to slip up the tube from the other end, and knock it out from within. You could invest in a set of transfer punches. If you google them, your screen will light up with places to buy them, and before too long they will also come in handy for that time when you need to dis-assemble a pen. Everybody reaches that time sooner or later, even the most experienced of makers, and transfer punches are to tools of choice to do the job.
What do you use Les??
I've just been reading your how too for this and the how to for melamine finishing. without wanting to start a massive argument.....What's best?I use MINWAX Polyurethane and apply with my Dipping Method.
