Buckeye burl, then attacked with a small burr tip bit in a dremmel, to form the lines around to give the effect of ash
it takes a while but it's worth it.

I keep wanting to have a go at a few of these after seeing them on the IAP. A friend of mine came back from Cuba last month and brought a cigar band back for the pen when I get into the shed :wink:
