Just spent 5 mins on Google my good friend in need heaps of real help tried to make a copy of the workshop manual see how it goes if not dial Google and the other thing I found interesting was the tailstock is threaded through one enterprising guy bought threaded rod and made an adapter for a drill chuck on a UK site if you progress your lathe it should be easy to use IMHO.

Run out of time to play the manual is in depth even a course on turning with this lathe. Couple of pages I scanned attached bear in mind if it is a solid shaft it is threaded on the headstock reminded aqnd I had one as well Richard Raffan famous lecturer had a big lathe from Sth Australia with a huge solid headstock so everything had to be fitted to the headstock shaft so your situation is easy to work around.
