Following on from Barry's post yesterday about the Sierra click pen, I've been asked by my son to make a click pen for him for his work, are there any decent click pens out there, or are all the click mechanisms rubbish?

I can't answer that question but no doubt someone will be along in a while. I used to do the click pencils but nearly always had a problem with the click mechanism.

Never had one yet that you could call reliable but then I stopped making click pens years ago because they were so unreliable

I too don't make them because of their unreliability but someone might know of some that are good.

I am trailing the Stratus (thank you Bob) as we speak, it has the same click mechanism as the Vertex twist as Dan calls it. (nothing like renaming your products to get attention init?)
So far it has stood up exceptionally well, nice design to it, robust smooth click, platings holding out, can't fault it. (don't that make a change?)

Forgot to add that I did put one of Phil's refills in it to make a huge difference to the likeability of it.

There you go Dan Possible market for click pens if you can source a reliable one. I'd have some if they were reliable.

I quite like the look of the aero click but can not comment on the mechanism

Chuck one my way and i'll try in the post room for ya. That is a real test for any pen, with us 5 staff and upto 3,000 users per week signing their names.
The Stratus has stood up remarkably well where all other fail except the Vertex so far.

I took a look at the aero click and I reckon if you remove the silly mudguards and give it a touch more vintage appearance I could go for one if I ever win the lottery.

It ain't often you hear me recommend anything but I am saying the Stratus is standing the test so far and outlasted all the others by a long way.
I do also have to add that the Beaufort refill has a lot to do with that by actually having some ink in it and not going scratchy after a few scribes.
I don't have it with me as it is at work and I at home, I think on Phil's recommendation it has the soft and smooth refill in it.
I also notice it is the preferred pen to take out on the round when the delivery of signed for is done so some recognition of my work pen test is becoming apparent.

I tried turning one of these but it just wanted to go in a straight line.

Looking at the size of the button that could be a goer Dan, it looks to be the same clicker.
Without actually trying it I wouldn't know, that would make a nice tarts pen now one for geezers please.
Pretty please, pretty pretty please init?
