No, there is no chip out. You can see from the first two photos the same area that you think the chip out is in.

Thanks.

Peter

must admit it looks like a chip Peter

The camera does what I tell it:bwink: although I didn't tell it to make it look like it's chipped, do I have to take another photo to prove it, just look at the two pics above it:thumbs:

Peter it must be an optical thing but it certainly looks like a chip when you zoom in on it cheers Frankie.

Peter it is just an observation I am not trying to undermine your work just thought i see a chip in the un posted pen pic which is actualy not in the same area of the pen going by the grain pattern,
I thought maybe the cap had hidden it please dont take it the
wrong way Frankie.

No, I haven't and won't take anything like that the wrong way,I would much rather know there is a problem than be ignorant of it. I have just looked again at the two photos above and you are right the cap could be obscuring it.

Love your photo skills mate.

I'm not sure if that is sarcasm or not as I didn't bother to do anything other than crop it:thumbs:

Thank you Bill, I didn't realise that London Plane was also Lacewood:funny: I thought the blank Eamonn sent me was the only piece I had, but I gave another member a lacewood bowl blank recently, if I had realised it was the same I would have butchered it into penblanks long ago:funny:
