Very handy capacity there William I do like the adapter screw on as well. Dumped where I worked I was able to buy as scrap metal an incredibly flat steel long base for use with laser lights I will look it up later in the year it has possibilities.

I have ordered a further two of his books MILLING A COMPLETE COURSE and The Milling Machine one of which goes into more depth about rotary tables, dividing heads and indexers.

He has a knack of explaining things in a way I can understand at last.

The Milling Machine is a excellent book, all so it has coloured photo's in it.

Some where on my computer I have I have 40 or so of that series of books.

I am in a process of "making" one, well for few years now, and I researched quite few versions up to now.
The best that I found is from CNCZONE and sold in UK(click Shop).
There are some with Arduino Uno as well (Another one here and here). That is definitely cheaper.

Sorry if I opened can of worms :goesred:
