I feel fortunate having for many years prior to the new then crop of blanks being used to drilling 1/2 inch square blanks cut from sheets of Corian material there were no miracle cutting compounds I used tooth paste for finals then paste Brasso (no longer available) so turning acrylics was a walk in the park. Having always used wet and dry very fine papers using white was iffy with the carry over from the black dye in the papers and brasso has a nasty habit of turning black as it works. U Beaut tripple EEE is fantastic also as a fine cutting compound on acrylics by the way. Enjoy your pioneering with Acrylics mate.

Love this blank Alan, my Sister had me using the same for her hubby who is a Leeds fan and she says it has their colours .. :winking:

Great looking pen for a first with acrylic, as it can be a dog till you get used to it ..

The skew is one of the few chisels I use, I have issues sharpening gouges at the moment, so mostly rely on the skew and some scrapers for any bowl work (which is seldom). When you only have one tool, you get familiar with it quite quickly!
