Very tasty! Im a bit puzzled about the grip/section, though - it seems to taper a lot toward the nib? is that a 5mm feed? Might look more 'balanced' with a 6mm feed and less taper? Just an opinion, doesn't detract from fantastic workmanship.

BTW where did you get the twin start tap and die from?

Thank you David. It is a 5mm feed and the small front chrome ring is part of the feed. That is why the taper.Next one will be without the chrome ring and the grip will be a lot different.
Tap and die is part of an IAP group buy from Tapco US.

My very first impression was the design was static at the join then when I looked at the opened pen picture I was blown away by the sheer poetry in the pen proper sweet proportions simply breathtaking beauty with absolute threading, then it dawned on me to safely house this masterpiece requires housing by threading so by crikey you must have material to cut a proper thread . In the pocket it has great style open it screams class.

Then the penny dropped Mav this is your first kitless I take my hat off your the man.

You don't need to use double or triple start threads, Steve.

i know but a single is a bit ugly i think..maybe i just need a finer thread than the standard stuff
but i am assuming a bit more "fragile" than a double \ triple as will be less contact areas ?
i will play with a normal set i have
i guess the advantage of a single is less likely to unscrew in your shirt pocket

The main advantage (apart from cost) with a single is that the grain lines up everytime.
