Nice kit and nice piece of turning. I like an oil finish too, though it's not as robust as some other finishes. I've used it on yew which seems to work ok.

These are great selling writing instruments.
They have the smoothest transmission I have run across so far.

Like the finish and nice to see the explanation.

I like the kit and may well have to source some to see how they'd eel in the hand.
