Penpal
Grand Master
This tree is found in the northern parts of Australia derives its name from the dense hairy bark that surrounds the tree. It has very definite medullary rays is a heavyish timber difficult to drill, turns well takes a beautiful finish, when cut at right angles to the grain looks like a tiger skin. The shell is from New Guinea.A favourite timber for me.
Kind regards Peter.
