It has to be delivered by courier, but I am sure sellers are also making money from the delivery.

I have been looking at youtube and reading up on some of the resins the one thing that bothers me which most of them mention is the fumes as you know I do suffer with my breathing so how about Alumilite it seems easy to use but as yet I haven't found anything about fumes which I'm sure they all have to some degree

Hi Woody
The alumilite I've used has practically no noticeable fumes in comparison to polyester resin - which stinks, to my nose, any way! You do need to have a well ventilated space though. I do it on the kitchen table next to open patio doors and there have been no complaints about the smell with alumilite, which was not the case with PR!
You can get alumilite from here: Resin - Casting resin - Metal Clay Ltd
The white one sets very quickly. The clear takes longer to set, though it might be best to use this one with pressure - almost all the American accounts I've read about the clear one say pressure should be used. I have cast it without pressure and not had problems. The introduction of shavings though will increase the risk of introducing air so the clear might be better as you will have longer to stir it than the white which will set in about two minutes!

I dropped a 25ml bottle of catalyst, so had to order another, £1 for the catalyst £5.50 for delivery, rang them to see if I could get it cheaper ... nope

Courier and hazardous materials they said ..

So went back online and ordered some other bits, still same postage at £5.50

Hi Woody - I use this all the time - it's odour free easy to mix and use and if you mix and stir it slowly is bubble free it producer's a clear resin when polished and I would say will fit your needs perfectly I buy it from " the art shop " skipton with nominal postage.
