Hi to you all on here, I've just stumbled across this forum and just spent the past couple of hours in fascination thumbing through some of the threads on here. Wow!

I've done bits of turning (as a hobby) on and off (mostly off) since the mid 80's.
A couple of years back I began to take an interest in turning pens and have been gradually developing my skill levels and techniques.
Much of what I've learned has come from practice and digging around on the net and this forum has come as a new and interesting direction for me

I'm already looking enviously at the Beaufort and TM ranges of kits etc and will I think be following up my interest with an order.

Anyway, I hope to become a regular here and get to see and know more

Thanks everyone for your welcome to the site.

It's good to see a couple of folks from Kent on here as well as one or two of the far flung parts of the world (from here of course)

I'll get some images of a few of my recent efforts posted in the next few days - BUT I'm always looking to improve, do things differently or find that elusive piece of grain. I'm sure that is embedded in one of my next batch of blanks!

Just looked up your location Mark - truly a long way from anywhere but looks fascinating.
